What it involves
Electrical faults range from a tripping RCD and dead sockets through to intermittent problems that only appear under load, or more serious issues detected during an inspection. We use systematic testing methods — insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, loop impedance measurement and thermal imaging where appropriate — to locate the root cause rather than just resetting the breaker and hoping.
Why it matters
Ignoring a tripping circuit or a flickering light is a common mistake. What seems like a minor nuisance can indicate a deteriorating cable, a loose connection working its way loose under thermal cycling, or water ingress. An electrical fault that's left undiagnosed is a fire and shock risk. Getting a qualified electrician to diagnose and fix it properly — rather than reset and ignore — is always the right call.

We charge a call-out and diagnostic fee, then provide a fixed price to carry out any remedial work before starting. Most straightforward faults are diagnosed and fixed in a single visit. Complex or intermittent faults may require more time — we'll be transparent about this.
