What it involves
Most of what we do is everyday domestic electrical work — the jobs that keep a home safe, comfortable and up to standard. That includes adding or moving sockets and switches, indoor and outdoor lighting, extractor fans, consumer unit (fuse board) upgrades, full and partial rewires, fault finding, EV charger installation and EICR inspections. Whether it is a single socket or a whole-house rewire, the work is carried out to the 18th Edition and certified properly.
Why it matters
Electrical work in the home is covered by Part P of the Building Regulations, and certain jobs must be carried out — and notified — by a registered electrician. Using a NICEIC-registered domestic electrician means the work is inspected, insured and certified, your installation is safe, and you have the paperwork you need for insurance, a mortgage or a future sale. For landlords, it also keeps you on the right side of your EICR and safety obligations.
Frequently asked questions
Typical cost range
£95 call-out
Smaller jobs are charged hourly — a £95 call-out includes the first hour, then £60/hour. Larger or clearly-defined work (a rewire, consumer unit or EV charger) is given a fixed written quote before anything starts. Either way, you will know the price up front.
