What it involves
A home EV charger (also called a wallbox) allows you to charge your electric vehicle at 7kW — roughly 10x faster than a standard 3-pin plug. We install tethered and untethered chargers from leading brands, including smart chargers that allow scheduling, app control and solar self-consumption. Every installation includes a dedicated circuit from your consumer unit, a suitable isolator, and full electrical certification.
Why it matters
Charging from a standard 3-pin socket at home is slow (typically 8–12 hours for a full charge) and not designed for sustained overnight charging loads. A dedicated wallbox charges most EVs in 4–8 hours, is weather-rated for outdoor use, and includes safety features that a domestic socket can't provide. If you have solar panels, a smart charger can be set to charge your vehicle only when your panels are producing — reducing your running cost significantly.

Typical cost range
£700 – £1,200
Installation cost depends on the distance from consumer unit to charger location, cable routing complexity, and whether your consumer unit needs upgrading first. The charger unit itself is additional — typical wallboxes range from £400 to £900 depending on brand and features. We supply and install as a single fixed-price package.
